The country's anglers are now urged to report sick fish to a newly opened database that the National Veterinary Institute (SVA) has launched and which will map how Sweden's fish are doing, reports P4 Örebro.
Anglers often discover sick fish, says Mikael Bäck-Norén from Hallsbergs sportfishing club, to the channel.
A sign that a fish, for example, has a disease is that it has an accumulation of white fungus on the head.
"When you clean the fish, you can also discover internal parasites," he says.
