The Swedish women's national football team received a good draw for next year's Nations League with Italy, Denmark, and Wales in the group.
These are three teams we can win against, but we can also drop points. It's an okay draw, said national team captain Peter Gerhardsson after the draw last week.
It is now clear that Sweden will start with two away matches in February - first against Denmark and then against Wales. In April, they will face double home matches against Italy and Wales.
The schedule in its entirety: Denmark-Sweden (21/2), Wales-Sweden (25/2), Sweden-Italy (4/4), Sweden-Wales (8/4), Italy-Sweden (30/5), Sweden-Denmark (3/6).
It is not yet official which cities or arenas the matches will be played in.
Sweden is playing in the A division of the Nations League. A good placement in the group gives a good seeding for the draw of the World Championship qualifiers, which will be played in 2026. A team that is relegated from the A division will instead have a tough and long road to the championship in Brazil 2027.
