I will create a bit of a bad atmosphere today, but I am prepared to do that, says EU Minister Jessica Rosencrantz (M) on her way to discussions about the next long-term budget in Brussels.
The Irish presidency of the Council of Ministers is currently trying to reach a compromise between countries that want a large or small budget. Sweden has many proposals for the latter.
"We are prepared to be constructive. We are prepared to look at cuts in several different areas," says Rosencrantz, who does not seem to feel any time pressure.
"We would like to have a quick deal, but it must first and foremost be a good one. We will not rush to make a bad deal," says the EU Minister.
