In early December, Sweden and Scotland will meet in a decisive two-legged tie for a place at next year’s World Cup in Brazil.
The same opponents await again in the spring. When the draw for the Women’s Nations League was made on Tuesday, Sweden were drawn against Scotland, Germany and the Netherlands.
The home and away matches will be played during three international breaks between February and June.
“It’s nice to have the Nations League schedule in place so we know what to expect in the spring,” says national team coach Tony Gustavsson.
“But now all the focus is on the World Cup playoff and our matches against Scotland.”
The four group winners in League A qualify for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
