Sweden's women's handball team made short work of Lithuania. Away from home in the European Championship qualifier, the national team won 41–20.

In just over a month, the World Championship will begin. But first, the Swedish women's handball team must get through the start of the European Championship qualification – and the team has done so without any problems.

First, Sweden won against Ukraine at home with 33–25.

Away against Lithuania, Sweden led 10-0 after just ten minutes. The team could then control the match, which ended 41–20.

Sweden's best goal scorer became the wing player Clara Lerby, who scored eight goals.

In November–December, the World Championship in the Netherlands and Germany awaits. The European Championship qualification will continue in March, when Sweden meets Serbia.

Sweden won two out of two matches in the start of the European Championship qualification. Here are the upcoming international matches:

20 November: Denmark–Sweden, training match.

22 November: Sweden–Denmark, training match (Halmstad).

27 November: Sweden–Czech Republic, World Championship.

29 November: Cuba–Sweden, World Championship.

1 December: Sweden–Brazil, World Championship.
