Sweden is sending police to Denmark to assist with security during this week's EU summit. This includes, among other things, motorcycle police and bomb dogs.

Sweden is contributing with "a larger police resource" when about 40 European leaders gather in Copenhagen, announces the police authority. Norwegian police are also participating in the effort.

"It happens as part of our Nordic cooperation, between the police authorities and at the request of the Danish police", says Linda Hedmark, head of the operational unit Noa in a press release.

The latest major Nordic police cooperation took place when Malmö hosted the Eurovision Song Contest last year and Denmark and Norway sent police to Sweden.
