"Last year, a unanimous committee decided to pause the review while the legal process was ongoing. Since the case is still ongoing and the judgment has not yet become final, we intend to wait until then before resuming the case," says Constitutional Committee chairman Oscar Sjöstedt in a comment to Altinget.

Former national security adviser Henrik Landerholm was convicted by the Court of Appeal on Monday of negligence involving classified information.

According to the court, he was "significantly careless" when he left secret documents in an unlocked safe at a course venue outside Stockholm in the spring of 2023.

The Social Democrats and the Green Party have demanded that the Constitutional Committee (KU) resume its review of the government after the verdict. If the verdict is to be appealed, the appeal must be filed no later than November 16.
