On May 1, the energy tax on gasoline and diesel was reduced to the EU minimum level, which, including VAT, meant a price reduction at the pump of approximately 1 krona per litre of gasoline and approximately 40 öre per litre of diesel. The reduction is valid until September 30.

As of today, another temporary reduction comes into effect. From July 1 to September 30, the tax will be reduced by 3 kronor per litre, including VAT, for gasoline and diesel.

On June 30, a litre of gasoline cost SEK 17.39 at the leading chains and a litre of diesel cost SEK 19.29. This means that prices from today should land at SEK 14.39 and SEK 16.29, respectively.
