Sweden started the match cautiously and took a timeout after 18 minutes.
The tactic paid off, and the team went into halftime with a 16–9 lead after four goals by left wing Tyra Axnér.
In the second half, the women's handball team continued to dominate. Ukraine was quick and occasionally posed a challenge, but never managed to catch up with Sweden.
"It's a slightly different match when you face this opposition. You have to focus more on yourself to raise your level," Emma Olsson tells SVT.
Sweden will face Lithuania on Sunday in the final European Championship qualifying match.
