"Sweden deeply regrets the US sanctions against two additional judges at the ICC. Sanctions have a serious impact on the court's indispensable work to end impunity for the most serious international crimes," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes.
The US sanctions were issued in support of Israel. The two affected judges voted against Israel's request to halt the ongoing investigation into war crimes during the Gaza war.
