After four losses, the national volleyball team had no chance of advancing to the European Championship. Therefore, Wednesday's final match in the group stage was meaningless.

But Sweden ended the championship with a victory - the first in 35 years in a European Championship context.

The set scores were 19-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-19.

"It was great to finish with a win, but this is not how we wanted the tournament to end," Jacob Ekman said after the match to SVT.
