The odds were not in Sweden's favour when the round of 16 against France got underway in New Jersey.
After 90 minutes, it is hard to argue against that. France took control of the game immediately and created several dangerous scoring chances. The French won convincingly, 3-0.
- It's a very good team. They know when to increase the pace and when to slow down and hold the ball. They've played together for a long time so it's clear that they're in sync. They're doing well, says Victor Nilsson Lindelöf.
Viktor Gyökeres, who plays alongside centre-back William Saliba at club team Arsenal, agrees with Lindelöf and highlights France's big stars.
- Over 90 minutes they deserve to win. But we fought for everything we could. We were a little lucky at times too, says Gyökeres and continues:
- The most important thing is that we get to play more games together. I think it will get better. If you compare it to the Netherlands, we defend much better today and create decent chances. So it's better defensively. Although it's hard to say anything positive after 3-0.
