Niklas Edin's team convinced in the meeting with Scotland in the World Championship in Moose Jaw, Canada.
It became an easy blue-yellow victory where the Scots gave up after the sixth round, when Sweden had taken a 10–4 lead.
The victory takes Sweden level with Scotland, on six wins and three losses after nine played matches in the group stage. Both teams are thus among the top five in the table, where Canada and China are at the top with seven wins each.
It was a bit of a double victory. That we could get them to the same points – and have the win in the head-to-head. It can become extremely important before the playoffs, so clearly a heavy victory for us, says Edin in Max's broadcast.
The two best teams go directly to the semifinal, while teams 3–6 get to play the quarterfinal. Sweden has remaining matches against the Czech Republic, Italy, and Norway.
