Sweden beat Iceland 35–33 to bounce back after European Handball Championship fiasco

The score was 19–19 after the first half, and it remained level for much of the second half. But with just under nine minutes left in the game, Sweden pulled ahead to a three-goal lead, 30–27.

In the final minutes, Iceland reduced the score to 32–33, but it didn't get any more exciting than that and Sweden was ultimately able to win the match 35–33.

Sweden finished sixth in the European Handball Championship on home soil in January, a result that led to criticism of the national team, captained by Michael Apelgren.
