Tre Kronor beat Finland 4–2 and thus won Finland's Euro Hockey Tour tournament by a landslide.

The Swedish national ice hockey team begins this year's Euro Hockey Tour season the same way they ended last year - with a tournament victory.

Then, in early May, Tre Kronor won the Czech Hockey Games.

In this season's first national team tournament, Tre Kronor started with a 3–1 win against the Czech Republic in Ängelholm and then followed it up with a whopping 8–3 win against Switzerland in Tampere.

On Sunday, they then won 4–2 against Finland, the arch-rivals that Sweden had such a hard time against last season. Finland then won seven out of ten matches.

Sweden started the match better and had a 2–1 lead after the first period. Jesper Frödén, who was responsible for five points against Switzerland, scored the first and Marcus Sörensen the second. Finland's reduction came in the last minute, with Toni Rajala scoring the goal.

Finland took command in the second period when Rasmus Rissanen sent in 2–2 behind Arvid Holm in the Swedish goal halfway into the period.

Sweden then faced two Finnish numerical superiority.

In the fifth minute of the third period, Rasmus Asplund made it 3–2. And with just under 1.5 minutes left in the match, Fredrik Olofsson scored 4–2 in an empty net.

With the victory, Sweden won the tournament by a landslide, by nine points and 15–6 in goal difference. The other teams won one match each.

The next tournament in the Four Nations tournament will be played in Switzerland on December 11–14.
