The Government is introducing a new support package to Gaza of 420 million kronor.

According to the government, the support should be directed towards the most acute needs of the civilian population and include, among other things, health and healthcare as well as food distribution.

The UN Children's Fund Unicef and the food program WFP receive 160 million each. The UN Population Fund is given 80 million kronor, while 20 million kronor go to the Red Cross.

In December 2024, the government ended the support to the UN body Unrwa, which has been operating in the Palestinian areas for decades, after Israel accused the organization of having ties to Hamas. The decision has been heavily criticized by the opposition and by aid organizations.
