Anton Källberg had an easy match against Tomislav Pucar, while Truls Möregårdh had to struggle against Andrej Gacina.

Despite the different match dynamics, the duo gave Sweden a dream start in the round of 16 against Croatia.

Then Elias Ranefur stepped onto the inner court at Wembley. When the 29-year-old was last there, he played brilliant table tennis, beating world number six Lin Shidong 3-2 and helping Sweden take its first victory against China - in a World Team Championship context - in 26 years.

This time, Ranefur secured a 3-0 win against Filip Zeljko, thus securing Sweden's advancement to the quarterfinals.

"I have been playing at a good level for a long time," says Ranefur, explaining what is behind the World Cup success in England.

"This is because I have done a very good job for many years. I have gone my own way in training and found different solutions. I don't win every match, but I have solutions for most things."

Truls Möregårdh:

"Elias is doing, once again, fantastically well," he tells SVT.

The 24-year-old had control of his match but lost 3-2 after the match was tied 2-2, with the fifth set ending 11-5.

But it hurt for Möregårdh, who grabbed his shoulder after nine points.

"It hurts a little, I won't lie. But what wouldn't you do for Sweden?"

In the quarterfinals, Taiwan awaits, featuring left-handed world number seven Lin Yun-Ju.
