On Friday, mogul skier Robin Olgård was selected for Sweden's Olympic team. Later that day, he crashed at the World Cup in Canada - and seriously injured his knee.

I already felt the impact in my knee during the crash and thought, "It was the Olympics." It took a few days to digest and you don't really understand what happened, ski jumping is my whole life. And then I get this message, that I'll be gone for a whole year. I'll be fucking lost without ski jumping, he tells Expressen .

The cruciate ligament was torn and in addition to that, the meniscus and inner and outer ligaments were also damaged, the newspaper reports.

"It's the worst thing that could happen, I think," says the 22-year-old.
