The 25-year-old Italian, who has won five Grand Slam titles, is currently injured and has been looking for a replacement for Darren Cahill as coach while he recovers.
And it could be a Swede, if The Times' information is correct. Norman, 50, reached the final of the French Championships as a player and was ranked as high as second in the world in 2000.
As a coach, he has worked with Stan Wawrinka on several occasions since 2013 and has seen the Swiss win three Grand Slam titles. However, Norman and Wawrinka's collaboration will soon end when the 41-year-old Wawrinka retires.
According to The Times, Norman will take over as Sinner's coach alongside Italian Simone Vagnozzi in December.
