The Swede has, according to the police, been hired to transport more than four kilograms of explosives from Sweden to Denmark. This was to be used in a conflict between individuals in the criminal underworld, according to a press release from the police on Funen.

In the house where an explosion was planned, 25 people were present. The police assess that they were exposed to imminent danger.

The crime was interrupted when a police car arrived at the address. Three of the four defendants are also suspected of having attempted to place explosives at the address the day before. However, they gave up when they could not gain access to the entrance.

The transportation of the explosives was carried out, according to the indictment, on December 28, 2023. The police on Funen assess that the planned explosion was not part of a conflict between gangs, but rather a settlement between individual individuals in the criminal underworld.

The trial begins in Odense on February 24 and a verdict is expected on April 4.
