Doubles specialist André Göransson is set for the final in the ATP tournament in Shanghai – Sweden's biggest doubles success in eleven years.

In pair with the American Alex Michelsen, André Göransson won the semifinal in the 1,000 tournament in Shanghai over Marcelo Arevalo, Salvador, and Mate Pavic, Croatia, with 7–6, 2–6, 10–7.

In Sunday's final in the major tournament, they will face the winners of the match between Kevin Kravetz/Tim Pütz, Germany and Guido Andreozzi, Argentina/Manuel Guinard, France.

Göransson's final spot is Sweden's first in doubles in an ATP 1,000 tournament since Robert Lindstedt played the final in Cincinnati 2012. Lindstedt then won the doubles final in the grand slam tournament Australian Open 2014.
