Swedbank raises variable mortgage rate after Riksbank hike, leaves other mortgage rates unchanged

After the Swedish Central Bank raised the key interest rate by 0.25 percentage points on Wednesday, major bank Swedbank is following suit, raising its variable mortgage rate.

This means, among other things, a list rate of 4.14 percent on variable mortgages, 0.25 percentage points higher than before, the bank writes in an email to TT.

Other mortgage interest rates are unchanged.

At the same time, the bank is raising the interest rate on savings accounts by 0.25 percentage points. The changes to savings account rates take effect on November 16.

Corrected version: Clarifies that only the variable interest rate is being raised.
