SF Studios is producing the feature film together with SVT, among others.
The film is directed by Fredrik Edfeldt, who also wrote the script together with Karin Arrhenius - the same duo who created the TV series. Cinema audiences will see the Melkersson family again in a film about friendship, freedom and adventure, SF writes in a press release.
In the film, the ensemble cast of Vega Åhman as Tjorven, Elton Larsson as Pelle and Lovisa Lindblad as Stina will return, among others. Filming begins in August and will once again take place in the Stockholm archipelago.
It is not yet known when "We at Saltkråkan" will hit the big screen.
