Together with Vasalopp coach Mattias Svahn, Julia Franzén took on the Vasalopp challenge in the SVT broadcast "The Fight Against the Rope".
It looked like it was going to end at the first checkpoint, Smågan, eleven kilometers into the race. Eight minutes after the rope time was up, the influencer skied into Smågan, but by then the rope still hadn't been pulled. This was due to tough conditions on the trails.
On the way to Mångsbodarna, Svahn and SVT's camera team left Franzén behind to increase their speed and reach the second checkpoint.
It was believed that she had dropped out of the race - which turned out not to be true. According to Aftonbladet, she made it past the rope, running with her skis in her arms.
"Now, damn it, I'm going to finish!" she told Aftonbladet.
