The long-distance races, featuring talents such as Alvar Myhlback, have been broadcast on SVT for the past five years as part of the "Winter Studio".
Next season, that looks set to change.
"The only thing I can say is that we don't have those rights anymore. And I don't know if anyone else has bought them," SVT's Max Bursell tells Expressen.
The channel is currently undergoing a major cost-cutting package, but the changes surrounding Ski Classics are not a direct consequence of that, according to Bursell.
"But we always have to prioritize, and with a reduced budget there will be tougher choices."
However, Vasaloppet, which is part of the long-distance race series, will continue to be broadcast on SVT.
