This summer, the women's national football team will play the European Championship in Switzerland. Now it's clear that SVT will broadcast at least parts of the build-up in the Nations League.
"The women's football team is one of our most popular and beloved national teams, so we're happy to be able to show the two tough matches that kick off the Nations League," says SVT's sports manager Max Bursell to the channel's website.
It's about the away games against Denmark on February 21 and Wales on February 25.
It's still not communicated which TV company will buy the Swedish broadcasting rights to the European Championship. According to TV4's Football Channel's columnist Olof Lundh, Viaplay is said to have an agreement with the European Football Association (Uefa), but there's been a discussion about the price.
Sweden will play four more matches in the Nations League during the spring.
