On October 17, Richard Wagner's opera cycle "The Ring of the Nibelung" will be shown on SVT Play in a production by Deutsche Oper Berlin. The 16 hours of musical drama will be accompanied by a so-called watch party hosted by "Kontrapunkt" duo Ella Petersson and Rickard Söderberg.
"Fill the TV jug and the popcorn bowl, and we'll unravel the plot and talk both loudly and softly about the music, the drama and the big emotions," Petersson says in a press release.
"Dygna med Wagner" will be broadcast from 8 a.m. to midnight. There will be a live chat throughout the broadcast in the Duo app and on SVT Play.
