On Christmas Eve, the premiere of "Ronja Rövardotter" will take place, the highly publicized major production that had its premiere on Netflix in March 2024.
The last six episodes of the remake had their premiere on Netflix recently, but it is the first six parts that are now coming to SVT. The first episode will be available on SVT Play on Christmas Eve and will be broadcast on SVT1 on Christmas Day.
Kerstin Linden plays the lead role as the robber's daughter Ronja in Astrid Lindgren's classic. Well-known names such as Christopher Wagelin, Sverrir Gudnason, Johan Ulveson, and Pernilla August have roles in the series, which is one of the largest productions ever within Nordic drama production.
The series was originally made for Viaplay, but was taken over by international Netflix when the Swedish streaming service faced major financial problems last year.
