SVT has secured broadcasting rights for the Swedish women's national football team for four years ahead in a new agreement with Viaplay, the channel reports.
The rights include, among other things, the Nations League as well as qualifying matches for the World Championship 2027, the Olympic Games 2028, and the European Championship 2029.
"The women's national football team is one of the most popular national teams among the audience, all categories. We have broadcast most of the national team matches in recent years and are very pleased that viewers will be able to follow the national team on SVT for the next four years", says SVT's sports manager Max Bursell in a statement.
SVT will show between 10 and 13 national team matches per year.
