"Antikrundan" and "Mästarnas mästare" are being moved from their usual broadcast days. SVT believes audiences will find them anyway.

The two popular programs have long aired on Thursdays and Sundays, respectively. But when "Antikrundan" returns for season 37, it will air on Sunday instead of Thursday.

The new broadcast time means that "The Champion of Champions" will be moved to Saturday to make room for "Antikrundan".

Thomas Hall, head of planning at SVT, explains the change in an email: "Our view is that the line between pure entertainment programs and entertaining lifestyle programs is increasingly blurred - both by the audience and by us who produce them. This allows us to be more flexible in which programs are suitable at which times and days."

Hall says he is "confident" that the two well-known programs will also find their audience on the new broadcast days. He points out that more and more viewers are using SVT Play, which makes the choice of day of the week for the TV schedule less important.

Don't you think some of the older viewers who watch linear TV will be disappointed by the change?

"You have to go pretty high up in age to find a group of people who aren't at home playing games these days. It's around the age of 75 that the ability to play games starts to decline," says Thomas Hall in a follow-up telephone interview.

"Antikrundan" has been broadcast on SVT since 1989 and began in collaboration with the BBC's "Antiques Roadshow", which had been around for twelve years at the time. "Antikrundan" is still a big viewer favorite. Last season, each episode had an audience of millions.

Season 37 premieres March 1 on SVT1 and SVT Play.

The new season is hosted by Anne Lundberg, who is making her 27th tour and visiting Botkyrka, Bollnäs, Vänersborg, Huskvarna and Härnösand. The first program is hosted by Dogge Doggelito.
