"Pelle was a warm and positive person, with strong integrity. A real team player who always stood up for himself," said SVT's sports director Max Bursell to the channel's website.
Nyström worked at SVT from 1983 to 2020, most of that time in the sports department. He covered eight Olympic Games, among other assignments.
As a reporter, he had a unique storytelling style and a disarming way of interviewing, said Max Bursell.
