Actors Amanda Jansson, Rasmus Johansson and Jakob Öhrman return as Jana, Bror and John in the sequel. The series is directed by Sanna Lenken, who also co-wrote the script with Maria Karlsson.
The filming of "We Went Up with Mother" will begin in spring 2027.
"It's fun that SVT (Sweden’s public broadcaster) has chosen to continue the story of Jana Kippo. I hope season two will be as good as the first," author Karin Smirnoff says in a press release.
