"Ever since SVT Play became part of the broadcast, it has been included in the coverage, including exclusive winner interviews. This year we are taking it a step further and inviting viewers on Play to select the artists who will go to the final qualifiers there," says project manager Anders Wistbacka in a press release.
During the semi-finals, two contestants go straight to the final and a “final qualifier” is selected. Previously, it was shown at the end of the SVT broadcast, but now the final qualifier is selected on SVT Play after 21:30. This extends the program on the streaming platform by ten minutes.
The final round will be broadcast in its entirety on SVT1.
