SVT has previously announced that 355 million kronor will be saved, 141 positions will be eliminated and that popular programs will be discontinued.
A total of 30 positions will be lost at Riksnyheterna and Sporten, and another ten at SVT Samhälle, according to Journalisten. These include photographers, reporters and program hosts.
The employees were reportedly notified on Thursday.
Nils Stahle, chairman of the journalists' section at Riksnyheterna, thinks that the message from the employer is unclear.
"It's quite unsettled here today after the information we received yesterday," he tells Journalisten.
Karin Ekman, program area manager at SVT Nyheter, tells Journalisten that they have tried to be as clear as possible.
