The programme initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Nordic Museum and is intended to result in a major television series premiering in autumn 2027.
The programme collects people's thoughts about the future with the question "What do people in Sweden actually want the future to be like - and how do we get there?"
The goal is to carry out a survey of what life will be like in the Nordic region in 100 years.
"The hope is that the initiative will arouse curiosity, new questions and conversations about what kind of Sweden we want," says programme director Eva Beckman in a newsletter from SVT.
"The History of Sweden" was broadcast in 2023 and told the history of Sweden in collaboration with archaeologists and historians, among others.
