The start of this year's edition of "The Great Elk Trek" had to be brought forward by five days since the king of the forest was in a hurry to get away. Therefore, it is not surprising that the broadcast will also end prematurely, according to SVT.
The plan was to turn off the cameras on May 8th.
"We started broadcasting earlier this year and have broadcast on the days we were supposed to," says Johan Erhag.
The marathon broadcast that follows the moose's migration and swimming across the Ångermanälven River has been an annual tradition at SVT since 2019.
