The Wainwright Prize for Conservation Writing has previously been awarded to authors such as Elizabeth Kolbert and Robert Macfarlane. Sverker Sörlin’s “Snow”, which portrays the importance of snow through science, history and personal experience, has sold more than 15,000 copies in Sweden and has been published or sold in 15 international markets. The winner will be announced on 17 September.
