The ten-year contract – which will be announced on Thursday – applies to the construction of 45 miles of new power lines in Västra Götaland.
NCC won the procurement which is based on so-called strategic partnering. This means that several different projects are packaged in larger "business packages", instead of each project being procured separately.
It feels very good. It's our largest agreement ever and the first in a series of five major agreements that we plan to procure over the next two years, says Per Eckemark, director-general of Svenska kraftnät to the newspaper.
The next multi-year contract applies to Västerås and is expected to land at around 7 billion kronor and includes nine projects, according to Svenska kraftnät.
