The government traditionally meets in Harpsund on Thursday.
There, Svantesson will present the Ministry of Finance's latest economic forecast and the conditions for economic policy in the coming years.
The new forecast predicts GDP growth of 2.5 percent this year and 2.5 percent next year. In the previous forecast, from June 17, the government predicted that growth would be 2.3 percent this year and 2.5 percent in 2027.
Svantesson expects the economy to be close to balance in 2027.
"So it looks like Sweden can put the recession behind it once and for all," she says in a written comment to TT.
Svantesson points out that Swedish households are consuming more and that investment is expected to pick up.
The Ministry of Finance now expects unemployment to reach 8.5 percent this year and 7.8 percent next year. The figures can be compared with 8.5 and 7.9 percent, respectively, in the June forecast.
Compared with last year, unemployment in 2025 would fall by 8.8 percent.
"We see that unemployment is about to turn downward, which is also confirmed by the employment service's figures," says Svantesson.
The Ministry of Finance's forecasts for GDP growth and unemployment are close to the latest assessments by the National Institute of Economic Research (NIER).
KI will end up with 2.4 percent growth this year and 2.8 percent growth in 2027.
