The sexologist Kalle Norwald dropped out in 2024, and now it's instead Suzann Larsdotter who will match couples in the reality series. She does it together with psychologist and psychotherapist Maria Farm as well as psychologists Fredric Bohm and Hana Jamali.
"I'm proud to join as a new expert in 'Married at First Sight'. As a sexologist, I will talk straight about sex, lust, and intimacy – important factors for a relationship to last in the long run", says Larsdotter.
She is a licensed healthcare and social services curator, as well as an authorized social worker with basic training in psychotherapy. But she has also been involved in Livets ord, educated herself to become a priest, and participated in the documentary series "The Bar". According to the press release, she sees her profession as a kind of "atonement" for the years in the free church movement when she took a stand against abortions and homosexuality, contrary to her own conviction.
The reality series follows couples who get married at first sight, to then decide during five weeks whether they want to remain married or get divorced.
SVT will announce the season's participants on Tuesday, April 1. Season 12 will be broadcast on SVT Play and SVT1 on Mondays starting April 14, but the first episode will have a sneak premiere already on Friday, April 11.
