The alarm came in at noon on Friday. A suspicious object was found at a gym where police were conducting a search.
The National Bomb Disposal Service was called in to deal with the object.
The bomb squad has completed its investigation and the object is safe for handling. The danger is considered to be over, said police spokesman Anders Dahlman at 10 p.m.
He would not say what the object was.
The house search is connected to the explosive device that was defused by police in Rättvik on Wednesday. Police said a bomb believed to be homemade was found.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested and remanded in custody, including on suspicion of attempted murder.
