On-duty police officer Otto Eriksson tells Göteborgs-Posten that there was never any danger to the public.
The police were reportedly called to the scene at 1:30 a.m., according to the newspaper.
I can say that a person was trying to avoid a police patrol on site, and in connection with that you can see him throw something away, Eriksson tells GP.
The incident is being investigated as an attempt to commit serious public destruction and a serious violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
