Police in the Netherlands are investigating suspected sabotage against the train traffic in connection with the ongoing NATO summit in The Hague.

A power outage caused by a extensive cable fire has severely limited the train traffic to the airport in Schiphol outside Amsterdam.

– It can be an activist group. It can be another state. It can be anything, says Minister of Justice David van Weel in connection with the NATO meeting, according to the news agency AP.

The train traffic southwards – towards among other things The Hague – is however reported to be functioning normally.
