According to a spokesperson for railway operator ProRail, "material has been deliberately placed" on the tracks, writes De Telegraaf.
The spokesperson tells the newspaper that it is some kind of pipe that has been placed in several locations across the country, but that they do not know who is behind the suspected sabotage.
We would also very much like to know that, says the spokesperson.
ProRail warns that delays and cancellations are occurring.
