The crime reportedly occurred near the City Library during the night. The police received the alarm at around 4:20 a.m.
They don't know each other, it's more of an assault," says police spokesperson Anna Lärk.
No one has been arrested yet. The police are searching for the perpetrator and the area has been cordoned off.
Our technicians are sent out and we check surveillance footage in different places, there are a lot of cameras in the city, says Anna Lärk.
The woman is not seriously physically injured, according to Lärk.
"But she is obviously not feeling well. We have accompanied her to the reception and will interview her," she says.
