A man in his 40s has been arrested, suspected of a murder in Hindås on Christmas Eve, reports Härryda-Posten.
The detention hearing against the man, who was arrested over the weekend, was held on Monday afternoon.
A man in his 60s has been detained, suspected of the murder, since earlier. He was recently sentenced to prison for other crimes.
The man was convicted of, among other things, assault and unlawful threats at the end of November. However, the six-month prison sentence had not been enforced before he was arrested for the murder.
It was during the night leading up to Christmas Day that a person was found dead in a burning car in Bollebygd municipality. The person is suspected to have been murdered in Hindås in the neighboring municipality of Härryda a few hours earlier.
The man in his 60s, who denies the crime, was detained on Sunday. A man of the same age who was also requested to be detained was, however, released by the district court.
