A minor boy was arrested on Wednesday night with a live hand grenade in the Lindbacken district of Uppsala. The discovery was made when a police patrol stopped the boy for a check at a parking lot just after midnight.
Then the surrounding area was cordoned off awaiting the national bomb squad, says Sonja Vukicevic, duty officer at the police.
The case is classified as preparation for general destruction.
Is the arrested boy known to the police previously?
That's something I can't comment on at the moment, says Sonja Vukicevic.
Since the boy is so young, social services have been involved in the case.
