The man has been remanded in custody on suspicion of murder since Friday. In police questioning, he says it is “obvious what happened” but that he cannot talk about it because he thinks it is “horrible.”
During the interrogation, he says that something "tumultuous" happened on the morning of the same day the woman was found dead, but repeats on several occasions that he cannot or does not want to talk about the suspected crime.
It was on Tuesday that a woman in her 50s was found dead in a home on an archipelago island in Värmdö municipality. The suspect was arrested after a major police operation just before midnight on Thursday night.
