On the morning of June 14, a man was taken to hospital with injuries that were initially assessed as life-threatening after falling into the water in Klintehamn.
Another man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and has, until now, been remanded in custody on probable cause on suspicion of attempted murder.
He is now suspected of murder, the head of the preliminary investigation confirms to local radio.
