Police were called at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday to a suspected murder in an apartment building.
Residents of the house reacted to hearing screams, said police spokesman Daniel Wikdahl.
A seriously injured 55-year-old man was found in an apartment. Despite emergency medical care, his life could not be saved.
The suspect was in another location in the house when he was arrested. Daniel Wikdahl said he could not say whether the man and the victim knew each other.
Police have also brought one person in for questioning. That person is not suspected of any crime.
We believe that this person has important information to provide about what happened, said Daniel Wikdahl.
The crime scene has been cordoned off for a technical examination.
